Worked all day in the drizzle yesterday getting everything planted and sown.
Sowing seeds is a bit hit and miss for the next two months. If the temperature stays high then seedlings are far from happy, I’m just attempting to keep produce flowing into the kitchen somehow.
I hit up friends and You Tube for tips on storing potatoes and went with layers of straw and potatoes in a box under the house. Hopefully the rats don’t get to it before we do.
All the peaches have been processed after they only lasted about 2 days in the fridge… Bit of a wake up call to harvest earlier. Also been eating nectarines and I think a bunch of bananas could do with being cut off the tree, the first ones are turning yellow.
My trip to the markets was much lighter on the wallet and only half a bag of produce instead of two full bags. Loving that.
