Following on from yesterday’s observations, Lou came home and harvested the first of the Pink Grapefruit – a much-anticipated day in our house! Pink Grapefruit in the old smoothie this morning…
The tree is only small, and I put it outside our bedroom window on purpose because someone loves them so much. The tree has been netted for a good couple of months I think to protect them from the cockies. Also under that net is a pepino on a trellis, the two are so close together I can’t separate them, and the net is huge anyway.
Under the net, there are still plenty more on the tree, and I got a surprise seeing the two young ones in the right of the picture, the next lot are already on their way. Woo hoo!
