This pile means many things to many people

- The forest floor in a heap
- A vital spoke in the wheel of life – it breaks down to feed new plant life, providing the oxygen we breathe.
- If one teaspoon of healthy soil contains more bacteria than there are humans on earth, this pile has the potential to breed up more micro organisms than there are macro organisms on the planet.
- For me right now it is at least one year’s fertility for the garden and will contribute to a significant portion of the food we eat.
